Love Another Mother

(May)

Love Another Mother is one of Birthline’s most cherished annual events, offering so much more than a Mother’s Day celebration. Many of our clients face significant challenges, including poverty, medical issues, homelessness, and single parenting, all while striving to care for their young families. This event aims to shower kindness and encouragement on these incredible mothers, many of whom might otherwise go unacknowledged on Mother’s Day.

Our dedicated client managers specially select participants for this celebration. Some are first-time mothers, while others have been chosen for reaching specific milestones on their journey to self-sufficiency. Each one has earned their place at this event through their hard work and determination.

The afternoon includes a buffet lunch, fun games, and the recognition of graduates. There are numerous prizes to be won, and every participant leaves with gifts, new friends, and the assurance that their community values and appreciates their efforts and achievements.

Join us in celebrating the remarkable strength and resilience of these mothers. Your support of time, talent or treasure helps make this day of joy and recognition possible, reminding our moms that their hard work does not go unnoticed. Together, we can make a lasting impact on their lives.

Grateful Hearts Fundraiser

(October)

Our Grateful Hearts Dinner is an elegant evening in celebration of our community and success stories. The annual event includes a fun cocktail hour, gourmet dinner,  exciting live auction, and more. The main goal, of course, is to ensure that Birthline has the funds necessary to continue supporting vulnerable families and their babies for years to come.

Open House

(Various Dates)

Birthline hosts several open house events throughout the year. The community is invited to stop in to learn more about us and the services we offer.

  • See our Clothing Boutique, where young families in need can shop for free for clothing for their children.
  • Learn about Birthline’s mission to support pregnant women and young families in need with life-affirming assistance, education, and pathways to self sufficiency.

Please note that this event is not intended for prospective clients. If you are in need of Birthline’s programs and services, please visit our Get Help page to learn more, or contact us at 858-270-2491.

Holidazzle

(December)

For years Birthline has hosted a special event each December where clients come to receive toys and holiday clothes for themselves and their families. Introducing… Holidazzle – A Family Christmas Celebration!

Clients are invited to “shop” at tables of clothes, toys, and stocking stuffers, all organized by age and gender, so they can pick out for themselves what best suits their family’s needs. We also have a gift-wrapping station, children’s activities, festive snacks, and hot cider. Additionally, we invite representatives from various San Diego County institutions to help clients sign up for needed services including WIC, CalFresh, and First 5 classes.
